In the PADI drift diving course, you learn how to enjoy currents in rivers and in the sea by simply drifting away. It feels like flying – only that you are underwater with diving equipment.
Drift diving is exciting and relaxing at the same time.
Are you curious and would you like to experience it?
Then the special course drift diving is the right thing for you!
In order to be part of the PADI (Junior) Open Water Divers, you must be at least 12 years old.
Then you can take part in a PADI specialty “drift diving”.
In addition to techniques and procedures for drift diving, you will receive:
◦ an introduction to drift diving equipment
– Buoyancy, lines, reels (line rolls)
◦ An overview of currents in water – causes, and effects
◦ Practice buoyancy control, navigation, and communication on two current dives
◦ Learn techniques of how to float with the partner or group in the flow
stays together
Diving equipment:
You will use your usual diving equipment and you will also learn how to use surface marking buoys and floats with lines and reels.
Ask your PADI Instructor or the staff at the local PADI Dive Center for more equipment
to help you enjoy your drift dives.
The first dive of this PADI specialty course can be an adventure dive on yours
Advanced Open Water Diver certification.
For this as well as to be able to enjoy your drift dives optimally and for all other questions
